Vintage Village Stockport April’s Nearly Easter Fair

I love Vintage Village!! This event is a proper, “save the day” event now for me. I really look forward to it- I always bring more people with me each time I go too!

This time I had the pleasure of meeting a few of my fellow Tweeters, Lady Behave, Tailorbird- who I dropped off a jacket with- she’s sorting out the lining for me, Bathing Beauty- lovely Welsh handmade smellies, and Agnes Darling who always has amazing stuff- I never fail to buy something from the mother and daughter team and this time was no exception.

Yes the munchkin is always successful at Agnes Darling!!
I finally got some glass bottles and had a good old natter with the lovely gentleman who sells them- although I cant remember the name of the stall!
Bought this scarf from Standing on the Landing Vintage and the dish reminded me of Venice and Murano glass- though at £4 it was a lot cheaper!!
Bought more saucers although realised when I got home I’ve now got loads of saucers and not enough plates- unless I just ate cake for every meal… Now there’s a thought!
Total spent £16- and that’s why I love VV!!

I had such a lovely time at the fair too. Isn’t it perfect? They’ve got it just right I think.
I got some bottles last month from that guy. I loved the stories he had about the things on his stall.

Vintage Village is now on my regular must visit list.

I must have missed you – I had the stall right next to Lady, Behave!

You’ve mentioned a lot of my favourites too, and blimey you made £16 go a very long way. What a great haul!

Love that scarf best – it looks very 1930s in style.

And, with my Vintage Village co-organiser hat on, thank you for the lovely comments! 🙂

    Thanks for the comments ladies!
The bottle gent could write a book about his foraging for bottles and his glass bottle wife/widow! He was lovely.
Lydia sounds like you’d love these then- he has loads… I could always send you some???!!
TinTrunk, I’ll seek you out next time- there was a 1930’s dress on your stall that I loved but sadly it would be too small… It keeps coming back to me though!
