The Vintage Emporium at Pear Mill in Stockport

I’ve told you briefly about The Vintage Emporium in Pear Mill before- in this post.

But after recently visiting again I thought it deserved a post all of its own.

You see its a bit special. Its a bit of an odd place to get to I know, but it is so worth it.

There is two huge floors full of vintage. With architectural salvage, and vintage furniture upstairs, and clothing, books and collectibles downstairs, it’s worth taking as much time as you can to wander around. I’ve been twice now and each time I’ve felt I didn’t have time for a proper look.mill warehouse living reclaimation

Stockport has made a bit of a name for itself on the vintage scene with its monthly award winning Vintage Village Fair. What is so great about the Vintage Emporium is that its open every day and many of the traders who sell at Vintage Village have stock at the Vintage Emporium too!

Well known traders such as Planet Vintage Girl, Bottle Green Vintage, All Our Yesterdays and Discover Vintage have areas within the Emporium.display dress as art

It also has a space where you can rest from your vintage hunting and have a drink and a cake.

If you are local then you really must head over here. And allow as much time as possible.vintage lounge lighting stockport mill

I’d also suggest taking a list of things you are actually on the lookout for. Along with measurements of alcoves, windows and other places in your home so you are able to figure out if something will fit inside your space or not.

On my most recent trip I got the most amazing vintage Fairisle jumper from Jackal Threads for £25, you’d pay at least double that for this on the high street. Its seriously warm and I’m planning on living in it until Spring.fairisle jumper vintage flatlay
