Vintage Birds

So I keep seeing dresses and vintage prints with birds on, they are lovely and summery. Their feather, natural elegance and the variety of colours makes them perfect for use on
clothing, jewellery or decorating your home. Here are some quirky bird pieces I’ve found recently. Just click on the pictures and you’ll be taken to the relevant website.

A beautiful embroidered skirt by Diana Vickers, from the Very catalogue for £39, the embroidered bird detail gives it a retro edge. This would look great with tan wedges and a tan wide belt with a white sleeveless blouse tucked in- channel your inner Betty Draper!

This beauty is from Lady Behave and is hand-sewn with love for £20, not on a machine! Stitched free-hand into vintage upholstery fabric using 1950s bird watching manuals as inspiration and then mounted in old wooden frames. She also takes commissions, should you have a favourite feathered creature not yet sewn- golden eagle anyone?

This is from good old Dorothy Perkins!! For a snip at £15! Good for casual days with jeans or could be dressed up with lots of necklaces for a night out.

Really cute 1960’s maxi dress from Etsy– would end up around £60 including P&P from San Francisco.

There’s also lots of bird charms and rings around at the moment! Do you wear anything with birds on??

I don’t have anything with birds on in my wardrobe, but you’ve just made me realise I need some. Love the vintage maxi.
