Discover Vintage’s Home and Fashion Fair will be setting up in Manchester’s Victoria Baths this weekend for the first time this year. On Sunday 1st April the event will see around 40 exhibitors showing off their collections to a number of vintage enthusiasts hoping to grab themselves an original piece of clothing or home ware.
Discover Vintage began organising fairs across the North of England in 2009 and now run various fairs across the country, one being the famous Vintage Wedding Fair. The Vintage Home and Fashion Fair has been running in Manchester since it started and usually runs twice a year, one in April and one in October.
Keeley Harris, the founder of Discover Vintage has always taken an interest in vintage clothing, cars and home ware since a young age. She says, “We’re very excited to be back at the Victoria Baths in Manchester as it’s such a great location. We enjoy coming here twice a year and I’m always excited to see the new exhibitors.”
On the day there will be a number of vintage dealers and exhibitors showing off their great collections. Bethany Davies specialises in vintage hair and make- up and will be running her Vintage Beauty Parlour at the event for people to come along and experience traditional looks from the 1920’s to the 1960’s. There will also be a stall dedicated to specifically men’s vintage pieces by Froggy Went Courting as well as a collection by Norwegian Wood who will be selling a variety of home ware pieces from the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s.
Tickets for the event are priced at £2.50 each for adults, free for children and all proceeds will go to supporting the campaign to save the Victoria Baths. Tickets will be available on the door and the fair will run on Sunday 1st April from 11am – 4pm.
