That liquid eyeliner flick!

I’ve recently seen a few other bloggers reviewing liquid eyeliners here at RetroChick and here at Rockalily
So I thought I’d throw in my twopence worth!

So, as some of you may know, I’m a sensitive creature and that goes for my skin and eyes too! I’m allergic to some preservatives and all fragrances or perfumes. So I have to be really careful what I use.

Nvey is a natural and organic makeup brand manufactured in Australia and my favorite product of theirs that I use is the Cake Eyeliner.

Comes in a dinky box.
Hard wearing plastic casing.
You can see mine is well used but I’ve had it for ages now and there’s loads left!
I use it with a stiff Body Shop brush, I wet the cake eyeliner first with a small spray water bottle from Superdrug- about two- three sprays is usually enough. I then completely cover the brush
with the eyeliner and using a steady hand (!!) get to work!
The brush is really important- it cannot be bendy or soft as it just wont give you the control you need for this look.
Have a damp cotton bud handy for any slips.
Not the best pictures of my eyes I admit but I think you get the general idea! Also this does take a steady hand but if you practise enough it’ll become second nature.
This really does last all day, without rubbing off or peeling off like, some liquid eyeliners have been known to in the past! And it’s especially good if you are a bit sensitive like me!

You can buy this online at for £16.50

Now – I like the idea of this. I have recently bought and failed with the Maybelline one reviewed by Retrochick. I loved the application with a little brush – it was SO neat and precise – but the product was rooobish and flaked off and transferred to my upperlid when my eyes were open. Bummers! I might have to give this a whirl!

I love cake eyeliners and not seen / heard of this brand. I will add to my ‘to buy list’.
