Sweet Tooth Cupcakery Giveaway

Regular readers may have read in past articles that Sweet Tooth Cupcakery in Chorlton is one of my favourite places for cake. I try to always support independent retailers over huge chains and this is a great example.

There are several reasons for Sweet Tooth being in my “fail safe” bag of tricks when it comes to a much needed tea and cake break.  Apart from the fact the cakes are delicious,  they do vegan cakes every day, quite a rarity I’ve found, and believe me I’ve looked. (For new readers- I’m not actually a vegan, I have allergies to egg and dairy). They also do Gluten free every day. Take note fellow tea rooms!

Secondly the interior is adorable, they (whoever “they” are) do say- the best things come in small packages and in this case it’s true. With seating for no more than around eight people inside, there is more outside; Sweet Tooth welcomes you with open arms into the 1950’s. With tonnes of vintage china, G Plan units, pin up girls are collaged alongside the typical 50’s housewives and images of advertising from the era- taken from vintage ladies lifestyle magazines, all decorate the walls.

The fifties theme doesn’t stop at the interior, they serve milk shakes, malts, sherbets, soda floats (any of which can be made vegan). Perfect coffee from Illy and a variety of teas and hot chocolates complete the mix.

Lorna and the Cupcakettes are sure to give you a sweet welcome!

Can you name an independent retailer near you? There’s some research from O2 that suggests only 19% of people could name an independent retailer close by to where they live. O2 have developed an app called Priority Moments which is one way of scouting out the best independent shops in your local area.

O2 have kindly asked me to celebrate independents and the launch of Priority Moments for independent retailers by giving away £100 worth of vouchers for Sweet Tooth Cupcakery

Seriously good prize! The best things really do come in small packages & I’d rather like to fill *this* small package with one hundred pounds’ worth of cake. Oo-er, that sounds a tad rude. Apologies. Xx

    CAKE CAKE CAKE x 100.

I live in the city centre and regular support the independents like Sugar Junction, Teacup, Home Sweet Home etc. Obviously just to do my bit for the community 😉 It would be nice to venture out to the burbs to sample the delights you speak of!

I talk about cake around 4 times a day at work (obsessed much?) and with my boyfriend’s birthday being a week today, I could definitely blow that prize fund no bother! Xx

Who doesn’t like good cupcakes-seriously?! Anyone who says they’re not keen has obviously spent too much time in Asda.

DISCLAIMER-I love Asda. I like their BOGOFs. Their bagels are absolutely awesome (99p for four of the beautiful beasts) Their nail varnishes are also pretty awesome….

Well not being the cakey person everybody else is, I’d be inclined or even obliged to share them all with Mrs B and Charlie. Not that that is a bad thing in any way…

The Cupcakettes? Very vintage indeed! The fifties theme is one so fitting to Manchester, & happily these independents keep on springing up in evermore creative spaces. Let’s hope the prize vouchers are in small denominations, so the lucky winner can share the cupcake love & spread the word about another winning brand!
