Today I thought I’d share with you a recent maxi dress purchase from Sainsburys.
I bought this Maxi Dress in the sale section of the Tu clothing range at Sainsburys. We have a branch very close to home and it can be rather dangerous, but I do find myself browsing when I pop in to do a bit of food shopping.
There were actually loads of them left- since buying it I’ve realised why, they are LONG. This translates as great for a beanpole such as myself, but not so great for ladies under 5’10.

- Nine West Gladiators (very old)
- My handmade tiki shopper with bamboo handles
- Reiss denim jacket (several seasons ago)
- ASOS sunglasses
Maxi Dress I love you… I love the palm pattern on it, I love the relaxed but feminine fit, I love that its an actual maxi length on me and I loved that I only paid £7 for it.
Er, I might have to go and see if there’s any left!
We popped into a teashop whilst out, Little Underbank Tea Room- their Facebook offer of free toast and jam with any hot drink swung it for me and enticed me to finally stop by. I’ve heard lots of good things about this place and the reviews on-line cite things like “hidden gem” and “attentive service”.
Whilst we didn’t indulge ourselves in cake, the service was perfect and friendly but not in your face and the surrounds are the quaint side of vintage- the shabby chic look. I’d definitely try an afternoon tea here at some point as long as they could cater for my allergies.
Have you picked up any clothing whilst doing your weekly shop? What did you get?
I always look out for the 25% off clothing that Sainsburys often do- really worth looking out for as they have some lovely things.Sign up for my Creative Notes Letters, a personal letter to my readers.
