Old Fashioned Gentlemen: Part Five

Argh sorry its been ages!

About a week I think, I’ve been totally swamped with organising the Best Of Vintage Manchester Awards- the finalists in each category need your votes now!

Anyway one of my birthday presents recently was the X-Files boxed set- yes, ’tis true I’m a bit of a Sci-Fi gal. And its rekindled my early teen crush on Fox Mulder which seriously, is no bad thing! I also thought he was a mighty fine candidate for my semi regular series on Old Fashioned Gentlemen.

He’s a bit spooky, mysterious and kooky… But the character of Fox Mulder is an Old Fashioned gent, he looks out for Scully, opens doors for others, he’s super intelligent, is quite and unassuming, he has fantastic manners and you can see there’s loads going on behind the eyes… Its always the quite ones right?

I’m loving rewaching the X-Files are or were you ever a fan?

X-Files was a fabulous televisual feast growing up. At a car boot sale, I was lucky to acquire a couple of series on VHS but alas, I no longer have a video playing device. Boo.

I heartily agree. As well as being the intrepid investigator of the unexplained, Mr Mulder was indeed a very fine chap. Gentlemen are a rare breed these days. I am determined that we won’t follow the same lost path that the dodo and dinosaur had the misfortune of taking – the world would be a less stylish and honourable place without us.
