Jazz on the Corner

Matt & Annabel together are the Vintage 78 DJ’s who have this year been at seemingly every vintage event worth its salt.  Also known as, “It’s A Wind Up!”, they are gramophone enthusiasts , who specialise in playing original 78rpm shellac discs on 1930’s Gramophone players to live audiences of all kinds…

Together with the fantastic Cornerhouse in Manchester they are hosting a soiree on Thursday November 3rd. What promises to be a really glamorous night! So if you want to dance like one of the bright young people, drink cocktails and generally swank about, then put on your Oxford bags and flapper dresses and go!

To complete this night of decadent glamour the Cornerhouse bar will be providing classic 1920s cocktails at the bar and there will be dance lessons from Keith MeGee including Lindy Hop, Swing and the Charleston.

For those who wish to learn some dance moves the night will begin at 19:30 and for those who wish to swing on their own the night continues from 20:30 till 23:00. Tickets are available to buy online for the full night, however if you just want to come to the after-lesson It’s A Wind Up festivities tickets at a reduced price are available from the Box Office.
