Pockets of places to buy vintage and retro are popping up more often.
We went to visit the team behind The Vintage Market in Warrington who have recently set up a permanent residence upstairs in Hatters in the centre of Warrington. Hatters is similar to places like the Craft Centre and Afflecks- both in Manchester- in that there are lots of independents all under one roof.
Upstairs at Hatters is home to this new vintage venture and Patrick from Market Fairs showed us around. Inside is a wide variety of vintage items from books to jewellery to clothes. There are also some craft products from local makers includes the lovely bed throws pictured bottom right
The shops stock comes from small vintage esque businesses within Warrington, when we visited the shop was still a work in progress, with areas for more vintage clothes and accessories.
If you are in Warrington it is well worth a visit as it’s a great little place for picking up unusual gifts and quirky homewares. There’s also a cute cafe which has tables facing the shop so you can window shop and browse whilst getting your caffeine fix.
On the same level in Hatters just across the way there is another shop readers will be interested in- Pouting in Peep Toes, which is a rockabilly and vintage repro dress boutique.
All in all Hatters in Warrington seems like the place to go for any vintage loving types in the area!
