I’m a sucker for a good bit of hardware.
We are currently in the market for hooks. Hooks are so useful.
Hooks can add vertical storage where there is a lack of space. Or they can add interest and practicality to a empty wall or alcove.
Whichever way you look at it, hooks are great and we could all probably find uses for more of them in our home.
Here I’m rounding up five hooks which have me hooked (!!) and looking for a place to use them.
Anthropologie are hardware experts. Their hook (and knob) game is strong, and right up my street.
This palm leaf hook(s) is just dreamy!! I’d love this is a botanical themed bathroom with lots of plants around. Its very glam and very practical, two of the best qualities anything, or anyone, can have.
Next up is this geometric one from H&M. This would work in a more minimal style. Perhaps as a set of three in a kitchen for tea towels and oven gloves. I like the simple, unfussy lines here and as it’s in a copper shade, it adds a bit of warmth to whatever environment it is in.
Hooks are are great way to add a sense of fun and personality into a space. This Scottie Dog brass hook would make a perfect spot to stash your dogs lead and other walking bits near the front door. Ever ready for an outdoor adventure! This one is from Marks & Spencer.
I love this handy chalkboard… It comes in yellow or green and is influenced by the Victorians and their love of aviaries. It’s from a site I stumbled onto call Abodent which has so many hooks and knobs and handles. Well worth a look if you are in the market for hardware and very reasonable in price. This hook is £12.99!
Last up are these from Urban Outfitters. Pictured here is the blue one, but they come in a total of four colours. These would be ideal for having near the door with the each family members name written on the handy chalkboard plaque. It would save so many arguments and calls of “who has my coat” etc…
Which is your favourite… Do you have a favorite hardware shop? Do share!
