Exciting Awards News- A New Sponsor!

We are delighted to announce that we have another sponsor! This time in the shapely form of Donald and Miss June Vintage. They are providing an authentic mid century vintage set piece which award party guests can peruse and pose in, having their photograph taken as a memento of the evening- dressed in all their finery. And if you happen to fall in love with a piece of furniture, most of the set will be for sale.

Donald and Miss June started life out of a lifelong passion for all things vintage. Even in the early years of their marriage they lived in an art deco flat kitted out in 1970’s furniture, since then they have been collecting, researching and living a vintage lifestyle.

The shop came about as a result of a combination of their love of mid century furniture and ephemera and Donald’s lifelong interest and career in audio.

So Donald and Miss June was born selling a combination of the above. The shop itself sells a combination of quality mid-century furniture and accessories (the usual suspects….G Plan, Ladderax, Nathan, Austinsuite etc). Plus radios mainly from brands such as Roberts, Grundig and B&O. They always look for items that are stylish, sought after and above all quality.

Donald also restores and converts older vintage radios to work with ipods and other MP3 style players…..This is a particularly unusual and unique aspect to their business which attracts a great deal of attention.

The future for Donald and Miss June is to diversify further into hosting vintage style events and their first venture is the much talked about Burlesque night and vintage fashion show at the Swan with Two Necks in Macclesfield on the 30th November. Just in case you were wondering the name is homage to their neighbours Don and June; an archetypal glamorous 1950’s couple now in their 80’s but still maintaining an air of grace and charm.

Find Donald & Miss June on Facebook and on Twitter, and you can also see them in person at Room At The Top opposite Stockport Market Hall, 1st Floor Produce Hall Market Place, Stockport, SK1 1EW.
