Eldest is six now and I think having some Christmas cheer spread throughout the home and into her bedroom is a lovely idea.
In previous years we’ve added a bit of tinsel and fairy lights to her bedroom, but after finding a mini faux Christmas tree in the Paperchase sale in January I’m set on giving her a festive feel to her space.
This year we’ve done a lot with M’s bedroom, some of which you’ll have seen already. Some of which I’ve yet to share. But one of the final things we were after was a bedside table. After moving her room around and packing a few things up to make room for building work in there, she’d been using a box as a bedside table until we found THE ONE.
I found this French looking bedside table at Barker & Stonehouse and its perfect for her room in painted white, as there is a lot of white in the space already. I find if you have more than one drawer in a bedside table or cabinet that they just tend to get filled with junk, that ends up being forgotten about… Speaking from my own experience obviously!
Anyway this bedside unit also has a small shelf and it is the perfect size to stack these colourful mini suitcases onto. Giving a little bit of extra storage for small items like beads and other crafty paraphernalia.
These suitcases also came in a pastel colour scheme but the brights are definitely more
