Bee jewellery from Eternal Collection- a review

I’ve always had a thing for bees. I’m not really sure why specifically. Perhaps it’s how they just get on with pollination, minding their own business. Perhaps it’s their bold bee stripes.

The bee is also a symbol that you can see a lot of when out and about in Manchester, so perhaps that’s why I love them.

Pottering around town with my dad and brother in the summer holidays and spotting the bees on and in the town hall, central library, and the northern quarter (which was very different in the 1980s!) around the Craft Centre and Afflecks Palace. You can find the bees on mosaics, on paving stones and carved into the stone in some cases in the places I’ve mentioned above. The bee features on Manchester heraldry and represents industry and industrious hardworking types.

So when I was invited to choose some jewellery to review recently I pounced on the bee items straight away. The simple shape and striking sparkle and colours really caught my eye.

Packaged beautifully and rather reminiscent of a high end jewellery brand in colour scheme, I felt very lucky when I opened my parcel to find my bees inside.

I’ve been wearing the bee brooch so much since I got it. Its the perfect size for pinning onto lapels and shirt collars- which is how I’ve been wearing it. Pinned to my blue denim shirt the bee brooch really stands out.

Eternal Collection who are responsible for these bee goodies, also sent me some earrings… And praise be, they are clip-on earrings! I do have pierced ears but I’ve not worn earrings for pierced ears for ages and when I have, I’ve virtually had to re-pierce my ears, which inevitably ends up with me having sore ears… Then not wearing earrings again which then makes them heal up again… And the circle continues.

I’ve ended up stocking up on vintage clip on earrings, which are often more my style anyway- the star-burst style and cluster earrings especially. Eternal Collection do a huge range of clip on earrings through so, if you are like me and have problems with pierced ears then go and take a look.

Anyway I’ve not had an opportunity to road test the bee clip ons yet, littlest would grab them from my ears (she’s going through a grabby phase) so they’ll have to wait until I’ve an evening out.

Disclosure- I received this jewellery for the purposes of this review
