I’m thrilled to tell you that Old Fashioned Susie has been nominated for a blog award.
The Amara Interior Blog Awards focus on blogs from around the world which have interior style and home articles as one of their main topics.
I’ve worked so hard over the last twelve months on this blog, after deciding to close down the vintage Manchester site and focus all my blogging energy here, so this nomination is a welcome reward.
To get into this nominee round is brilliant in itself and I’m happy to know I must be doing something right to have arrived at this point… Now I’m here though, I’d love to go a bit further!
This is where you come in. I’d love to get to the next stage which is a short list of the five with the most votes in each category. So please, if you enjoy my blog I’d be thrilled if you could help me get over the finish line into the final five.
All you need to do is go here and vote for me. Its REALLY easy and super quick… And did I mention everyone who votes is automatically entered into a competition to win a holiday for two to the Amalfi Coast?? More details on the holiday prize here. I kind of want this holiday for myself but it’d be ace if someone who voted for me won it.
I must say the competition in my category is fierce. I’m in the Best Fashion Inspired Blog category and there are bloggers in there that I know, and some I don’t. But all have a great sense of style and their own unique perspective on how interiors fit in with that.
If you are wondering who Amara actually are then let me explain. They are a husband and wife team who started off as Interior Designers and have grown into a luxury online home-ware and design shop. You can find out more about them and what they sell here, purse at the ready!
I’d be ecstatic to get through to the final five, I truly would! The awards night is in October at the Ham Yard Hotel/Village complex in London- somewhere I’ve had my eye on visiting for a while. I’d obviously love to attend the awards evening, and it’d be a great excuse to wear a glamorous outfit right?
So yes, I’ve been dressing up and modeling vaguely eccentric outfits against brick walls since the eighties. That’s me on the right- I still miss that blouse I’m wearing. The best Peter Pan collar ever.
Vote here– and thankyou xx
